FT Medical Laboratory Scientist,  Variable Hours.  Up to $10000 sign on bonus and up to $4000 relocation allowance.


We have two openings for a:

PT Medical Laboratory Scientist, Variable Hours.  Up to $10000 sign on bonus and up to $4000 relocation allowance.


As a Medical Lab Scientist you need to know how to: 

  • Perform all designated procedures competently, including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Specimen Processing, Blood Bank, and Microbiology when designated. Set up and perform a variety of technical and complex tests following established procedures. May obtain blood specimens from patients. May perform bedside testing. May send specimens to reference laboratories. Conduct verification tests on new products and instrument/procedure comparison, statistical analysis, and special projects.

  • Interpret, correlate and report test results. Verify computer-generated reports. Investigate and address erroneous test values, irregularities, errors or instrument failures. Recognize and solve problems or determine alternative solutions for analysis if needed. Document all deviations from established procedures for review by Manager or appropriate Supervisor.

  • Perform any QA and maintenance as required. Perform and document quality control. Document all quality control failures and corrective action taken. Maintain accurate logs, records, files and all other required documentation. Participate in updating and reviewing of procedures. Assist in the maintenance of CAP accreditation. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and make minor repairs to instrumentation. Notify Manager or Supervisor of any major instrument problems, efforts to correct and if any major repairs are needed.

  • Assist to performance LIS testing/process validations, printer maintenance. Evaluate and analyze shift QA reports, LIS report.

  • Train and orient new employees. Keep assigned work area clean and orderly. Maintain supply inventory.


Your experience.

  Bachelor’s Degree, required (military training and experience may substitute for Bachelor’s Degree)

  • Current ASCP or ASCP-I certification and applicable licensure, required

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a similar role/setting, preferred

Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in beautiful Hamilton, MT is hiring.

Full-time Technical Supervisor Phlebotomy/POC Coordinator:  is responsible for daily operations of department, to include Specimen Collection, Specimen Processing, Referral Testing, and some Client Service functions. Ensure maintenance of a safe, ergonomically sound, professional environment. Know and understand all functions of the department. Responsible for all compliance training, training of personnel, monitoring quality of the department(s), monitor and improve productivity. Participates in the interview, selection and hiring of new employees. Disseminate appropriate information to staff and ancillary departments, in a timely manner, using various forms of communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.

  • Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: National and State licensure. MLS/CLS preferred.

  • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to operate standard office equipment; attention to detail and strong organization skills; Discernment and good judgment; Flexibility to adapt to a variety of work assignments; Ability to analyze and discern data, manage stressful situations, and work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Experience: At least three years of laboratory training or experience, or both. People management experience required.

Full-time Generalist MLS/MLT: works to analyze a variety of biological specimens and maintain the daily operations of a clinical laboratory. Responsible for performing and collecting scientific testing samples and reporting results to physicians. Areas of medical laboratory training may include microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, transfusion medicine, toxicology, and molecular diagnostics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: MLS - Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology. MLT - Associate of Science degree in Medical Technology

  • Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: MLS - National and State Licensure in Medical Technology . MLT - National and State Licensure for Medical Laboratory Technician.

  • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Proficient in many applications of the computer system to include word documents and spread sheets.

  • Experience: One year of professional laboratory experience in a formal laboratory setting.
