10 Bed Critical Access Hospital

Madison Valley Medical Center is a 10 bed critical access hospital in Ennis, and is currently accepting applications for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/ Lab Manager at MVMC. This is a daytime position with rotating call for nights and weekends. Responsible for collecting patient samples, receiving and distributing specimens, preparing specimens for examination, analyzing specimens in all areas of the laboratory, and management duties. Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the provision of clinical laboratory results for the purpose of achieving definite therapeutic outcomes that improve customer care. Clinical laboratory practice involves the process through which a tech works with other health care professionals to design, implement and monitor a therapeutic plan that will produce specific outcomes for the patient. Through these actions, the Laboratory Department supports the overall goals of the medical center, and improves the health and well-being of the patient. Scheduled varied days and shifts; must be able to take after hours call.

 

*  MT (ASCP) certified or eligible

Minimum Qualifications:

1.     90 credit hours of college with an emphasis in biology and chemistry or an approved course of study

2.     ASCP certified, or equivalent

3.     Licensed as a CLS or CLT in the State of Montana or have the ability to obtain a Montana license within 45 days after a temporary permit is issued

4.     Qualified for Montana State Licensure under CLIA 88

5.     Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team

6.     Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

7.     Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail

8.     Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment

9.     Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position

10.  Be highly motivated and able to work independently
