AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS
In addition to providing networking, publications, continuing education, and high professional standards, ASCLS recognizes members who help make this society work. The Society presents state, regional, and national awards each year at annual meetings. Some members are nominated for awards; others may apply to receive awards. ASCLS-MT currently awards the Member of the Year, Student of the Year, and Student Poster of the Year. For more information about national and state awards, please review this document. Zanna Hartrich and Jennifer Wolcott are the current members of the ASCLS-MT Scholarship Committee.
2019 Award Winners
Victoria Rensink - Member of the Year
Victoria Rensink, outgoing ASCLS-MT President, was recognized for her hard work this year.
Peter Jones - Student Poster
Peter Jones won for his poster on Biotin Interference in Vitros Microwell Assays. The poster of the year is sponsored by Xtant Medical.
Tiffany Ashworth - Student of the Year
Tiffany did her clinical training at the VA at Fort Harrison. Student of the Year is sponsored by Western Microscope.
Longevity Awards
Membership longevity recognition was awarded to Kay Rasmussen (35 years) and Abbey Wichman (5 years) along with non-pictured members Mallory Leethan and Barbara Ostrem (5 years), Sadie Arnold (10 years), Trish Smith and Kathleen Thorsen (15 years), Vivian Schaffer and Kim Newman (20 years), Linda Wolford and Evelyn Langford (25 years), Anne Weber (30 years), and Karen Myers (35 years).
